OS X 10.4.6 / Not valid license found issue / 10.4.7 (PPC)

Purchased a single user license for Cinderella 2.0. Operating system = Mac OS X 10.4.6 (PPC)
Attempted several times to enter the license text received to activate the product. In all instances the same message returns: "Not valid license found. Cinderella could not find a valid license in your text...".

In addition, updated operating system to 10.4.7 and Cinderella 2.0 will start up, but when selecting the menu item "Enter License" the software simply becomes unresponsive. Must "force quit" the application to be able to exit.

Thanks in advance for any feedback on these issues.

Hi,

I have identified the issue and fixed it for the new release version 2.0.5 which is available on the server in approx. 15 minutes. You can download the new PPC release from http://cinderella.de/files/release/Cinderella2.app.zip .

Thank you for pointing this out!

PGoreczky,

we are currently investigating this issue — there seems to be an incompatibility which causes problems with th 10.4.7 update.

As a workaround you can do the following: Copy the license code you received into the file cinderella2-user.properties in your Library/Preferences folder.

The "No valid license found" problem is usually caused by superfluous or missing line breaks in the license code. Here is an example of a license code that works. Your code should have the same lines starting with "license." or the hash sign:

#LICENSE INFORMATION VALID UNTIL 01.08.2006
#Sat Jul 01 11:11:05 CEST 2006
license.name=Evaluation License
license.code=MCwCFHQTRuW7TaBtPdM/A3EEiW39iJDhAhQCksVwosxB8YuMnDVIYnObaAZ9Dg\=\=
license.expires=1154383200000
license.address.3=Country
license.address.2=City
license.type=single
license.address.1=Street
license.email=bugs@cinderella.de
license.organization=Not for classroom use
license.orderID=none

If you still encouter problems, please send a mail to bugs@cinderella.de and I will look up your license code and assist you further.

Ulli
